This time, I didn’t prepare a script in advance, but started shooting directly guided by intuition. Compared to my previous approach of meticulously arranging scenes and lighting, I decided to keep everything simple. All actions were primarily focused on interacting with the environment. I didn’t want an overly exaggerated or complex narrative and storyline. Instead, I let the sounds I hear on set guide the flow.
During the shooting process, I mainly focused on locations near my home. I ran through parking lots, walked along bustling streets, and paused by the bridge to observe and reflect. I only brought a circular fill light and used a retro camcorder instead of high-end shooting equipment. I wanted this spontaneous approach to create a looser, more spontaneous visual feel.
