Sound For Screen Score making

First, I used an A minor key and chord progression to establish the basic framework. It begins with dreamy, ethereal piano playing broken chords, then shifts to block chords accompanied by another airy synth that carries the melodic line. Instead of following conventional pop music rules for melody, I opted for smoother stepwise motion to convey a sense of storytelling.

Then, I wanted to incorporate a motive that runs through the entire soundtrack, so I spent time composing string arrangements to serve as both the climax and a recurring motif. I started by composing the cello part, which enters during the second repetition of the broken chords and carries the melodic line. After the synth completes the first full run of the melody, the cello re-enters and concludes, leading into a four-part string ensemble. Finally, the two violins fade out, with only the violas and cellos, giving the overall tone a more sorrowful color.
